The wait is over! The Great Celebrity Bake Off is back, and a fresh batch of famous faces is ready to step into the iconic tent. With flour flying and ovens heating up, these stars will put their baking skills to the test in hopes of impressing judges Paul Hollywood and newcomer Caroline Waldegrave.
What’s on the Menu? On Sunday, March 16th’s episode, couples and siblings went head-to-head in a friendly competition. Married duo Chris and Rosie Ramsey battled it out alongside siblings Scarlette and Stuart Douglas. They took on the challenge of baking classic scones, a nostalgic chocolate treat, and a cake inspired by their biggest career highlight.

Adam Buxton

Comedian Adam Buxton, one half of the comedy duo Adam and Joe, first found fame with The Adam and Joe Show on Channel 4 from 1996 to 2001. Since then, he has launched The Adam Buxton Podcast, featuring interviews with comedians, authors, and musicians. Fans may also recognize him from appearances on Never Mind the Buzzcocks, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, and Would I Lie To You?
“I am competitive, but not very seriously, because I feel I’m unlikely to win,” Adam said. “I just wanted to do well. I wanted to do my idea as well as possible, but it is really annoying, though, when things don’t turn out the way you wanted.“
Amelia Dimoldenberg

Known for her awkward and hilarious celebrity interviews in Chicken Shop Date, Amelia Dimoldenberg has made a name for herself in the digital world. Since launching the series in 2014, she has soared in popularity, even hosting the Oscars red carpet and appearing on Taskmaster and Celebrity Come Dine with Me.
“I’d love to be a star baker, but I really can’t see it happening,” she admitted.
Chris Ramsey

Chris Ramsey first rose to fame as the host of I’m a Celebrity: Extra Camp in 2016 before going on to present The Chris Ramsey Show. Alongside his wife Rosie, he co-hosts The Chris & Rosie Ramsey Show on BBC Two and iPlayer.
“Cancer is a brutal thing that ravages and devastates millions of families, so absolutely anything we can do to help raise money to advance treatment and battle cancer, we will do,” said Ramsey.
Ellie Goldstein

Gloria Hunniford

A staple of British television, Gloria Hunniford has presented Rip Off Britain and appeared on Loose Women, This Morning, and The One Show. She also hosted a BBC Radio 2 show for over a decade.
“Strengths: I’m a trier, and I like a challenge. Weakness: I’ve never baked,” Gloria admitted. “I tried baking at home to practice, and the first batch of biscuits I made turned out like turds. Terrible.”
Jamali Maddix

Stand-up comedian Jamali Maddix is a regular panellist on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
“Nah. I don’t mind. It’s for charity. The thing is, if I was a real baker it might be different. I’m not trying to transition to a career in baking,” he said. “When it comes to baking, I’m not competitive.”
Jim Howick

Kate Garraway

Maxine Peake

On her biggest baking success, Maxine said: “I suppose, when I did the first trial run for this, the fact that it came out and was edible was a bit of a surprise. I’d made something I could eat, that was a triumph for me.“
Meera Syal

Comedy icon Meera Syal has been making audiences laugh for years with roles in Goodness Gracious Me, The Kumars at No. 42, and more recently, Mrs Sidhu Investigates.
Sharing her thoughts on baking, she said: “I do enjoy baking, and I bake quite a few cakes. Although I’m aware that, taking part in this, it might be more than cakes I am asked to bake. I just like feeding people. I’m a bit of a feeder, as my family keeps telling me.”
Phil Wang

Stand-up comedian Phil Wang has made audiences laugh on shows like Taskmaster, David Mitchell’s Outsiders, and Netflix’s The Comedy Lineup. He’s also the returning host of the BAFTA Games Awards.
However, when it comes to baking, he admits: “I’ve never really baked, it’s never really been my style of cooking. I’m more of a stir-fry guy. I like to chop up ingredients and throw them in a wok and that’s about it. I don’t really have the discipline and patience for baking.”
