As anticipation builds for the second season of Andor, one rising Star Wars star is setting the record straight about her absence from the upcoming episodes. Vivien Lyra Blair, who portrayed a young Princess Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022), has confirmed that she will not be making a return to the galaxy far, far away in Andor Season 2.
Some people have talked about cameos in Andor. I, unfortunately, don’t have anything in Andor Season 2, so you will not be seeing me there.
Blair said.
Blair’s portrayal of Leia was widely praised by fans, and her name has circulated in online speculation regarding potential cameos in various Star Wars projects. However, she made it clear that those rumors are unfounded at least for this season of Andor.
While Leia won’t be returning, Season 2 of Andor promises plenty of familiar faces. The series will welcome back K-2SO, Cassian Andor’s beloved droid companion from Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. In a recent promo, fans got a glimpse of Cassian (played by Diego Luna) seemingly firing at K-2SO before the droid’s reprogramming.
Also confirmed to return is Ben Mendelsohn as Imperial officer Orson Krennic, along with Stellan Skarsgård as Luthen Rael, Adria Arjona as Bix Caleen, and Genevieve O’Reilly as Mon Mothma.
Season 2 will mark the final chapter in the Andor story, leading directly into the events of Rogue One. The first three episodes will debut on April 22 on Disney+.
