“South Park” has reignited controversy surrounding South Dakota Governor and United States Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem with a shocking post-credits scene exclusive to Paramount+.
The scene, from the second episode of Season 27, was reshared Monday on the official “South Park” X account. It shows Noem entering a pet store and opening fire on puppies. One dog manages to escape, but she catches up to it and guns it down.

It remains unclear why the scene was included only in the Paramount+ version and not during the Comedy Central premiere. Since “South Park” is produced on a week-to-week schedule to ensure topical relevance, it is possible the animators did not complete the scene in time for the linear broadcast and opted to add it to the streaming release.

Noem was a central figure in the August 6 episode, depicted as the puppy-killing leader of ICE. In the storyline, she raids a local production of “Dora the Explorer Live!” while her face repeatedly melts off due to failed plastic surgery.
Following the episode’s premiere, Noem responded during an appearance on Glenn Beck’s radio show, calling her portrayal “so lazy” and “petty.”
“It never ends, but it’s so lazy to constantly make fun of women for how they look,” Noem said. She stated she did not watch the episode because she was “going over budget numbers and stuff.”
“It’s always the liberals and the extremists who do that,” she added. “If they wanted to criticize my job, go ahead and do that, but clearly, they can’t, they just pick something petty like that.”
The gag about Noem’s dog-killing stems from her own memoir, in which she admitted to shooting her dog, Cricket, for being too aggressive.
Season 27 of “South Park” has been one of the show’s most politically charged runs to date. The first episode made national headlines for depicting Donald Trump begging Satan for sex. The White House issued a statement in response, saying, “This show hasn’t been relevant for over 20 years and is hanging on by a thread with uninspired ideas in a desperate attempt for attention.”
