Lesbian singer-songwriter Cat Burns, currently one of the Traitors trio on The Celebrity Traitors alongside Jonathan Ross and Alan Carr has become a viral favorite among sapphic viewers on TikTok, who have been producing a wave of flirtatious edits celebrating her scheming gameplay.
The 25-year-old “go” hitmaker has now responded with a TikTok of her own. The on-screen text reads: “How I feel watching all your edits of me when I’m just tryna put in a good shift being a traitor.” The accompanying audio features a deep voice saying, “Ladies, I’m tryna do my work today, leave me alone type shift. Ladies!” while high-pitched cheers play in the background.

Fan edits have labeled Cat “the best traitor,” including slow-motion clips of her laughing when actress and fellow contestant Celia Imrie calls the Traitors “f**king brilliant!” Other edits show eliminated Faithfuls reacting in disbelief to her reveal as a Traitor, with captions such as “That’s why [Cat’s] the goat (greatest of all time)” praising her strategy.
Burns released her debut album Early Twenties in July last year and previously described her songs to the BBC as “soul bearing” and “very emotional.” She added, “But most people who know me personally know that I’m the least serious person ever. I laugh before I cry. I think people will see that side to me; the lighter side that doesn’t take things too seriously and is here for fun.”
Hosted by Claudia Winkleman, The Celebrity Traitors features celebrities competing inside the iconic castle for up to £100,000 to be donated to a charity of their choice. Burns appears alongside LGBTQ+ figures such as Tom Daley, Clare Balding and Stephen Fry. The cast also includes Charlotte Church, Paloma Faith, Joe Wilkinson, Lucy Beaumont, Kate Garraway, Joe Marler, Mark Bonnar, Nick Mohammed, Ruth Codd, Tameka Empson, Celia Imrie, David Olusoga and Niko Omilana.
Jonathan Ross, one of Burns’ fellow traitors, has stated he “didn’t actually enjoy” the experience, adding: “the lying of it genuinely made me feel increasingly uncomfortable.”
The Celebrity Traitors airs Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9 p.m. on BBC One and iPlayer.
