The Ozzy Osbourne documentary “No Escape From Now” is now streaming on Paramount+, giving a close and personal look at the final months of the rock legend’s life and his journey to say goodbye to his fans with one last powerful concert.
It’s unlikely that Osbourne would have gone to Birmingham, England — or, to be honest, still been alive — if not for the intense physical therapy he had in the months before the concert. This is revealed in Ozzy: No Escape From Now, a documentary made with full access to the Osbourne family and Ozzy himself over the last four years. The film was first planned to follow Osbourne’s recovery and comeback after he fell at home in February 2019.
But No Escape From Now turned into a final tribute that ends with the Back to the Beginning concert in his hometown. It also includes an unexpected part showing his solo induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in late 2024, which he almost couldn’t attend because doctors warned him about serious blood clots in his legs. Those legs were basically wrapped in Lululemon leggings for most of 2025.
To stay strong before Back to the Beginning — Osbourne often joked that he couldn’t really “build strength” anymore because of his wild past — he brought in a live-in physical therapist to help him get in good enough shape.

Though Ozzy is eventually cleared to fly and makes it to the Birmingham show, Sharon says that his “mind is overwhelmed with the way people are showing up for him.” The “Back to the Beginning” concert not only brought Black Sabbath together for one final time, but also had performances from Metallica, Guns N’ Roses, Ronnie Wood, Steven Tyler of Aerosmith, Slayer, Pantera, Tool, Yungblud, and others.
He’s very afraid. But I know that with the emotion behind it all, it will carry him through the day. He’s going to be fine. I’m nervous. It’s my last hurrah, so it’s going to be pretty emotional for me up there.
Sharon adds, Ozzy admits
He wasn’t alone: the video in the documentary shows many fans crying as they watched their idol perform his final show.
I just hope I don’t think of Sharon when I’m up there, because then the fucking tears will start coming. We’ve done a lot of miles together, me and my old girl. This is it, this is the last thing. And I’ve accepted it, you know.
