Netflix has officially renewed its hit romantic comedy series Nobody Wants This for a third season, just two weeks after the release of Season 2.
The series stars Kristen Bell as Joanne, an agnostic woman who hosts a podcast about sex and dating, and Adam Brody as Noah, the charming rabbi she unexpectedly falls in love with. Season 2 explored the deepening of their relationship as Joanne grappled with the question of whether she should convert to Judaism. The supporting cast includes Justine Lupe, Timothy Simons, and Jackie Tohn.
Created by Erin Foster, Nobody Wants This is produced by Disney’s 20th Television with Jenni Konner and Bruce Eric Kaplan serving as showrunners. Foster, Konner, and Kaplan also executive produce alongside Bell, Steven Levitan, Sara Foster, Danielle Stokdyk, Jeff Morton, Nora Silver, and Oly Obst of 3Arts Entertainment.
Foster expressed her excitement for continuing the story in a statement: “I couldn’t be more excited to head into a third season of this show. It is a privilege to be able to write about my favorite couple on a scale like this. As long as it doesn’t take too much time away from me watching reality TV at night, I’ll do it for as long as they want me to!”
Showrunners Konner and Kaplan also celebrated the renewal, saying: “We are so grateful to Netflix and 20th for giving us another season of ‘Nobody Wants This.’ This job is criminally fun. Working with the uniquely gifted Erin Foster, this unbelievable cast of talented, hilarious pros, amazing writers, and incredible crew has been a truly great experience. Go Dodgers!”
The romantic dramedy has earned praise for its witty dialogue, grounded performances, and fresh take on modern relationships. With its renewal, fans can look forward to more heartfelt and humorous storytelling as Joanne and Noah’s unconventional love story continues to evolve in Season 3.
