Married at First Sight UK bride Sarah has offered fans a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her honeymoon with Dean, insisting that viewers only saw the “drama” on television.
The pair’s trip to the Maldives came after a rocky start to the experiment, with Sarah openly admitting she felt no attraction to her new husband. Their honeymoon episodes showed frequent clashes, including Sarah’s frustration at Dean’s habit of breaking into song and rap, and her comments about his weight which left him feeling “rejected.”

At one point, Sarah told Dean she had never been with a “bigger person” before, suggesting that the sexual spark could exist for her “if he was smaller.” Speaking to camera, she added that if Dean “lost some weight and got some tattoos” she would find him attractive.
Despite the tension, Sarah has now shared a series of photos from their trip, presenting a lighter side of their holiday. Posting on Instagram, she wrote: “TV gave you the drama 🎬😅 but here’s the real Maldives… fun, drinks & a lot of laughs 🌴🏖️🍹”
Dean responded in the comments: “See you did laugh at my jokes sometimes 😂”
Sarah has already addressed the criticism she has faced from viewers over her treatment of Dean. Earlier in the season, she posted a quote on her Instagram story that read: “So many people inspire me to be nothing like them.” Adding her own caption, she wrote: “This one is for the trolls… x”
While the future of their relationship remains uncertain as the show continues to air, Sarah appeared to be warming to Dean at the first dinner party, where she was seen laughing and referring to him as a “care bear” in conversation with fellow brides.
