Kayla Nicole is playfully volunteering to take over The Bachelorette after Taylor Frankie Paul’s season was unexpectedly pulled by ABC on March 19.
The fitness influencer, who previously dated Travis Kelce, shared what she called her “audition” for the role in a TikTok posted March 25. “My audition to be the next Bachelorette,” she wrote, adding in the caption, “Hey @ABC, heard you need a stand in?”
In the clip, Nicole used an audio from comedian Jason Banks, lip-syncing a deliberately exaggerated dating profile: “I play professional football for the Dallas Cowboys… I’m an Army vet from Minnesota. I’m Spider-Man. I won Miss America—I got second place.” While many followers flooded the comments hoping she might actually land the role, the post appeared to be made in jest.
Nicole has been candid about her dating life since her split from Kelce in 2022, after the pair were together for five years. Three months after Kelce got engaged to Taylor Swift, Nicole shared a new personal rule during a November 2025 appearance on The Boyfriend Material podcast, saying, “I keep saying I don’t want to date any more athletes, but I’m down to date the owners of the teams.” She added, “I’m really open, the bar is in hell these days.”
She has not publicly dated anyone since the breakup. Nicole has also addressed rumors that her relationship with Kelce ended over financial issues. “Do I look like anybody that would split anything?” she said during a 2024 appearance on the Unapologetically Angel podcast. “No, this is the question. Do I look like I would go 50/50 on bills?” She emphasized, “That was never an issue in our relationship.”
Kelce also dismissed the speculation in a 2023 interview on The Pivot Podcast, saying, “Don’t buy into that s–t. We were in a relationship for five years. A hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there wasn’t even thought about.”
While Nicole joked about stepping into the reality dating spotlight, Kelce has since moved on and is now engaged to Swift. Speaking to GQ in August 2025, he said of their relationship, “We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took the f–k off.”
Nicole’s lighthearted pitch comes as ABC has yet to announce any plans for replacing Paul’s canceled season, leaving fans speculating about who if anyone might ultimately take on the role.
