Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau were photographed holding hands during a night out in Tokyo, marking another public appearance for the couple. The pair were spotted strolling through the busy Asakusa district on Monday before heading to dinner and a live show.
Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 53, spent the evening at Asakusa Sumo Stable Annex, a venue known for its traditional Japanese dishes and sumo wrestling performances. The “E.T.” singer kept warm in a brown leather jacket and tan cargo pants, pairing the look with a face mask. Trudeau walked just ahead of her in a black coat and denim pants. Both completed their casual outfits with sneakers and baseball caps.
The outing comes as Perry continues her Lifetimes Tour, with two concerts scheduled at the Saitama Super Arena on Dec. 3 and Dec. 4. While earlier reports suggested Perry might spend the holidays with her new boyfriend, the two appeared to have spent the festive day separately.
Perry recently shared a selfie on social media wearing a Thanksgiving-themed beret, captioned, “Hatty Thanksgiving,” though Trudeau did not appear in the post. It remains unclear whether he spent the holiday with his children, whom he shares with his estranged wife, Sophie Grégoire Trudeau. He was, however, photographed attending Sophie’s Canadian Thanksgiving gathering with her family last month.
Perry and Trudeau’s relationship has been in the public eye since July, when they were first seen sharing a dinner in Montreal following a romantic stroll. Their first official appearance as a couple came in October during Perry’s birthday celebrations in Paris. Since then, Trudeau has attended multiple dates on her Lifetimes Tour.
