Jessica Williams has openly talked about how much she admires her Shrinking co-star Harrison Ford.
After wrapping up season 3, Williams recalled the moment on set when she realized Ford was “the greatest living actor.”
On a recent episode of Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend, the Love Life star shared a story about an emotional scene she filmed with the Indiana Jones actor.
He was weeping, he was joyful, he was all of those things. But it was one of those moments where they had to come in and be like, ‘Okay, Jessica, you’re weeping. So I don’t know if you’d be weeping as the character.

Shrinking is about therapist Jimmy (Jason Segel), who struggles after his wife’s death and pushes away his daughter Alice (Lukita Maxwell). His friends and coworkers, Gaby (Williams) and Paul (Ford), help him rebuild his life. Paul is also dealing with Parkinson’s and revealed in the season 2 finale that he stopped his medication. In that episode, Ford gives an emotional monologue about being thankful for life and friends.
Williams told Entertainment Weekly’s The Awardist podcast that it was “the best acting I’ve ever seen in person.” She also said she was “weeping” while filming the scene. Ford recently earned his first Emmy nomination for his season 2 role. Williams didn’t share many details, but said the season 3 scene that amazed her happens in her character’s office.
