Harvey Specter is back, and he’s bringing the heat to Suits LA.
In a newly released teaser, Gabriel Macht reprises his iconic role as Harvey Specter for a two-episode event in the Suits spinoff, Suits LA. The upcoming episode, titled Acapulco, airs Sunday, April 13 on NBC, marking the second appearance in a three-episode arc for Macht this season.
The teaser clip promises classic Harvey energy, opening with the sharp-dressed lawyer telling Stephen Amell’s character Ted Black: “Suit up. Winners don’t greet the day in sweatpants.” Ted, dryly, replies: “You have too many sayings.”
And just like that, the power dynamic of the original series returns with a California twist.
Set in Los Angeles, Suits LA continues to carve out its own identity while leaning on familiar faces to boost momentum. Although the series has had a slow start with critics and ratings, Harvey’s return in Episode 4 (Batman Returns) signaled an uptick in interest. With this upcoming two-part event, fans can expect the high-stakes drama to ramp up.
“It involves doing some bad things,” Harvey says in the teaser. When Ted asks for clarity, Harvey coolly responds: “Crossing lines, taking risks. Maybe even breaking a few laws.” The promo also features flashes of tension including Ted aiming a gun and confronting someone in a hospital bed.
Macht sees his guest role as part of a larger handoff to the new generation of Suits stars, led by Amell.
I definitely see this as a passing of the baton to Stephen [Amell] and the rest of the cast and crew in this Suits LA universe. I was excited to come back and revisit the world of Suits, and I had a great time with the ensemble of players that are working on that show. Suits LA is in great hands, and I’m looking forward to seeing how the new team shapes the series.
Macht said.
And Harvey’s not the only familiar face returning. Series creator Aaron Korsh previously hinted that more original cast members would appear throughout the season. So far, Rick Hoffman (Louis Litt) and David Costabile (Daniel Hardman) are confirmed to reprise their roles.
Catch Suits LA’s next episode, Acapulco, on NBC this Sunday, April 13, with next-day streaming available on Peacock.
