Cineworld is bringing a cinematic treat to moviegoers this August, re-releasing eight of Christopher Nolan’s most iconic films in IMAX across the UK and Ireland. The limited-time showcase includes acclaimed titles such as Inception, Interstellar, Dunkirk, Tenet, and the full Dark Knight trilogy.
The retrospective comes as part of the lead-up to Nolan’s highly anticipated next project, The Odyssey. Cineworld aims to remind audiences of the immersive experience that defines Nolan’s filmmaking when viewed on the massive IMAX screen.
These screenings are a chance to experience Nolan’s films the way he intended—with giant screens, incredible sound, and the kind of detail that only IMAX can deliver.
Cineworld said in a statement
The event begins on August 20 with Inception and Interstellar, followed by Batman Begins on August 22. The Dark Knight returns to screens on August 23, with The Dark Knight Rises arriving the next day.
Oppenheimer will be shown from August 22 to 27, while Dunkirk is scheduled for August 26. The re-release concludes with Tenet on August 27 and 28. Many screenings will also be available in Dolby Cinema at participating AMC locations.
This isn’t about nostalgia—it’s about giving people a chance to experience these films in the most powerful way possible.
Cineworld added
Known for his pioneering use of IMAX-certified cameras and practical effects, Nolan has long been a champion of large-format cinema. His work is designed not just to be seen but to be felt an experience that IMAX uniquely delivers.
Tickets for all screenings are now on sale via Cineworld’s website and local theater listings. Whether revisiting these titles or seeing them for the first time on the big screen, audiences are invited to step back into Nolan’s visionary worlds just as they were meant to be seen.
