Comedy Central has pulled a recent South Park episode from reruns after the death of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The episode, called “Got a Nut,” first aired in Season 27 and showed Eric Cartman remaking himself as a loud online pundit inspired by Kirk’s debate-focused style. While reruns are canceled, the episode is still available to stream on Paramount+.
The story mixed two satire plots: Mr. Mackey taking a side job with ICE to pay his bills, poking fun at Vice President JD Vance and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, and Cartman becoming a conservative podcast star. His clash with Clyde Donovan ended with a comic award show for the “Charlie Kirk Award for Young Master Debaters.”

Kirk reacted to the parody soon after it aired, calling it a “badge of honor” in a Fox News interview and saying conservatives should be able to laugh at themselves. He also shared a clip on his X account with the caption, “Not bad, Cartman.”
The removal comes after Kirk’s death earlier this week. He was shot and killed by an unknown gunman while speaking at a Turning Point USA event at Utah Valley University. The appearance had already drawn protests, as most of Kirk’s did, with over 1,000 students signing a petition against it. Utah state law allows open carry of registered guns on college campuses.
Besides this one schedule change, South Park will keep airing new episodes every two weeks, with the next one set for September 23 on Comedy Central and streaming the next day on Paramount+.
