Big Brother contestant Zelah has been praised for how he reacted after being ‘accidentally outed’ as transgender by Housemate Jenny.
Fans have already called the trans personal trainer from South London their early “winner” after the launch on Sunday (28 September). Since then, he has stayed a strong fan favourite in the Big Brother House, now on its third civilian series since the show moved to ITV in 2023.

Alongside 27-year-old Zumba instructor Sam and bisexual Dua Lipa fan Gani, Zelah is representing the LGBTQ+ community, slowly sharing details with Housemates about his life and coming-out journey. By Sunday’s episode (5 October), Zelah had only told a few Housemates about being transgender.
If I do go tonight, don’t forget about me.‘Where’s the transgender!’
Speaking to the group, he said, Jenny, who is 20, replied, We won’t. I’ll say
Caroline, 56, quickly asked: “Did she just say that? Oh for God’s sake.” Cameron B then asked: “Is he trans?”
“Yeah, that’s true,” Zelah answered.
Later in the garden, Jenny apologised, with Zelah saying he understood because she thought everyone already knew.
Zee, I’m really sorry. I did not mean to say it. Oh no, you’re ok. I thought everyone knew. I do not think it came from a bad place. I had a feeling you didn’t know that people didn’t know… and therefore that’s fine. I genuinely would not do that to anyone. I’m really sorry if I offended you in any way. Zelah, who was saved from eviction, has since been praised online for how calmly he handled it. Huge respect to Zelah for being so kind and generous about it because he really didn’t have to be even though Jenny’s intentions were definitely not malicious.
Jenny said, he replied, she added, Zelah went on, Jenny said, one person wrote
“Zelah handed the situation so well, such massive respect to him,” another said. Big Brother has already evicted two Housemates – Emily and Gani.
Big Brother is on at 9pm on ITV2 and ITX, Sunday to Friday.
