Chris Rock’s upcoming A24 movie is adding several popular Hollywood stars to its cast.
According to Deadline, the highly anticipated — but still untitled — A24 film being written, directed, and produced by comedy icon Chris Rock has officially locked in most of its ensemble cast.
Previously titled Misty Green, the film now stars Adam Driver, Daniel Kaluuya, Anna Kendrick, Rosalind Eleazar, and Chris Rock himself. Eleazar will play the role that would have been the film’s title character before the working title was dropped. Currently filming in Los Angeles, the story follows Misty Green, a gifted actress whose career took a sharp downturn, pushing her to the fringes of Hollywood.
When someone from her past reappears, she’s offered a chance at the comeback she’s long hoped for. The film is being produced by Chris Rock, David Worthen Brooks, and Peter Rise, with Nelson George, Miles Alva, and Shaum Sengupta serving as executive producers.

Right now, Eleazar is the least familiar face among the film’s big-name cast, but that doesn’t mean she’s new to major projects. She’s likely best known for playing Louisa Guy in Slow Horses, the hit Apple TV+ series starring Gary Oldman as the boss of a group of misfit British spies.
Eleazar has also starred in the FX show Class of ’09, Hulu and ITV’s Harlots, and The Personal History of David Copperfield. A24 is known for delivering surprise hits, and 2025 looks to keep that trend going. Fans can look forward to The Smashing Machine, a Mark Kerr biopic starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, arriving in theaters this October.
A24 is also releasing Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest, a much-anticipated film starring Denzel Washington, based on Akira Kurosawa’s classic High and Low. One of the biggest upcoming releases is the English-dubbed version of Ne Zha 2, a Chinese animated blockbuster that made a massive $2.15 billion worldwide earlier this year.
